Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • heavy cream - 2 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
  • parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • black pepper - 2 tsp
  • cooked peas - 1 c
  • fresh chives - 2 Tbsp
  • Prosciutto, cut into julienne - 6 oz
  • tortellini or 1 lb

How to make pasta with prosciutto and peas:

Melt butter in saucepan. Add Prosciutto; saute over low heat. Add flour; cook for 3 minutes. Slowly add cream; continue cooking until sauce thickens, 5 to 7 minutes. Add peas, pepper, Parmesan, chives and parsley. Bring to a simmer and keep warm. Bring large pot of water to boil; add pasta. Cook until tender. Drain and toss with sauce.
