Pasta with prosciutto and peas
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- heavy cream - 2 c
- Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 2 tsp
- cooked peas - 1 c
- fresh chives - 2 Tbsp
- Prosciutto, cut into julienne - 6 oz
- tortellini or 1 lb
How to make pasta with prosciutto and peas:
Melt butter in saucepan. Add Prosciutto; saute over low heat. Add flour; cook for 3 minutes. Slowly add cream; continue cooking until sauce thickens, 5 to 7 minutes. Add peas, pepper, Parmesan, chives and parsley. Bring to a simmer and keep warm. Bring large pot of water to boil; add pasta. Cook until tender.
