Pasta with fresh tomatoes
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- tomato paste - 1 Tbsp
- cooked pasta - 8 oz
- red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- large onion, sliced and separated into rings - 1 item
- fresh chopped oregano - 2 Tbsp
- large ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, chopped - 4 item
- red or green sweet peppers, cut into strips - 2 item
How to make pasta with fresh tomatoes:
Drain tomatoes in colander. Saute onions, peppers, oregano, salt and pepper in olive oil until crisp-tender. Stir in tomato paste, sugar, vinegar and tomatoes. Heat through but do not boil.
