Ingredients/Components
- cream cheese - 16 oz
- softened butter
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/8 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1 Tbsp
- thinly sliced celery - 1 tsp
- diced chicken
- fresh or frozen crabmeat
- champagne - 1/2 c
- chopped pistachio nuts - 1 tsp
- chopped watercress - 2 Tbsp
- chopped unpeeled cucumber - 1/4 c
- horizontally sliced loaf 4 layers bread - 1 item
- mayonnaise, mix, chill 30 minutes and drain - 2 Tbsp
How to make party sandwich loaf:
Chicken-Pistachio Filling:1 c. diced chicken1 tsp. thinly sliced celery1 tsp. chopped pistachio nuts1 Tbsp. mayonnaise Watercress Butter:3 Tbsp. softened butter2 Tbsp. chopped watercress1/8 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Crabmeat-Cucumber Filling:6 oz. fresh or frozen crabmeat1/4 c. chopped unpeeled cucumber2 Tbsp. mayonnaise, mix, chill 30 minutes and drain Mix individual fillings. Spread Chicken-Pistachio Filling on first layer, Watercress Filling on second layer and Crab-Cucumber on top layer. Stack layers on top of each other. Top with remaining bread layer.Mix cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually mix in champagne. Frost top and sides of loaf with cream cheese mixture. Use remaining mixture to decorate loaf as desired. Garnish with pistachio nuts. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
