  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
  • bottle chili sauce - 1 oz
  • jar grape jelly - 1 oz
  • chopped green onion optional - 1 item

How to make party meatballs:

Combine the first 6 ingredients, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Cook meatballs in hot oil in a large skillet until lightly browned; drain meatballs on a paper towel and discard drippings. Combine chili sauce and jelly in skillet; cook over medium heat until jelly is melted. Add meatballs; simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to chafing dish; keep warm. Sprinkle with chopped green onion, if desired. Yields about 5 dozen.
