Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 8 oz
  • salt
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 2 c
  • chicken broth
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • olive oil - 2 Tbsp
  • white pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp

  • dried thyme - 3/4 tsp
  • dried dill - 1/2 tsp
  • sweet paprika - 1/4 c
  • dry basil leaves - 1 tsp
  • fresh garlic, chopped - 1 tsp

How to make paprika chicken:

Seasoning Mix:1 Tbsp. salt1 tsp. onion powder1 tsp. dry basil leaves3/4 tsp. dried thyme1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/2 tsp. black pepper1/2 tsp. white pepper1/2 tsp. dried dill Seasoning Mix: Mix all together and set aside.

Cut chicken into 8 pieces, remove and discard fat. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons seasoning mix over chicken and rub in with your hands. Heat oil in 5 1/2-quart pot. Brown chicken for seven minutes on each side. Remove chicken to a bowl. Add onions to pot and cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add tomato paste and remaining seasoning. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Return chicken to pot along with any juices in the bowl. Simmer for 25 minutes. Stir several tablespoons of sauce into the sour cream, stirring well after each addition so you do not burn cream. Return sour cream mixture to pot. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sour cream is incorporated and heated. Serve over broad egg noodles.
