  • sour cream - 3/4 c
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • mayonnaise - 3/4 c
  • large onion - 1 item
  • pinch cayenne pepper - 1 item

How to make pan-fried onion dip:

Peel and thinly slice onions. Saut?© the onion in the butter and oil until the onions are caramelized, about 30 minutes. Cool. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill for 1 hour. Serve dip with vegetables, chips or crackers. Makes 1 3/4 cups of dip.
