Oyster dressing
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- chopped celery
- minced parsley - 2 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- poultry seasoning - 1 Tbsp
- instant chicken bouillon - 2 tsp
- torn bread - 3 qt
- oysters, pureed in blender - 1 pt
- ground cooked pork sausage
How to make oyster dressing:
Saute onion and celery in butter in a 4-quart stock pot or saucepan about 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 2 1/2 to 3-quart casserole and bake in 350° oven 45 to 60 minutes. Makes 10 to 12 servings, enough for 10 to 12 pound turkey.Recipe categories: Side dish, Seafood, Shellfish.
