Osgood pie
Ingredients/Components
- egg yolks, beaten well - 6 item
- vinegar - 3 tsp
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- sugar - 2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- butter - 2 tsp
- egg whites, beaten stiff fold in last - 6 item
How to make osgood pie:
Mix as listed. Pour into single unbaked pie shells and bake until knife comes out clean when inserted in pie. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325° for 30 minutes. Yield: 2 pies.From the file of Lois Childress. This recipe is from Mrs. A.E. Childress who was Lois' mother-in-law.
