Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 3 qt
- butter or margarine, melted - 1 tsp
- grated lemon rind - 1 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 3 item
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- freshly grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- ground white pepper - 1/4 tsp
- frozen English peas, thawed - 1 c
- chopped sweet red pepper - 1/2 c
- fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces - 1 lb
- orzo, uncooked orzo is a rice-shaped pasta - 2 c
How to make orzo primavera:
Combine water and salt in a large Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Add orzo and cook 5 minutes. Add asparagus and cook 4 minutes. Drain and set mixture aside in a large serving bowl.
