Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- pkg - 1 1/2
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- green onions, sliced - 3 item
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 oz
- sesame seed - 3 Tbsp
- monosodium glutamate - 1 tsp
- small head cabbage, shredded - 1 item
- pinch of garlic salt - 1 item
- Ramen noodles, broken - 1 pkg
How to make oriental salad:
Combine cabbage, onions, noodles and water chestnuts. Place sesame seed and almonds on a cookie sheet and brown slightly in oven, then add to salad.Combine remaining ingredients for dressing and pour on salad. Chill. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
Purple cabbage is best.
