Oriental meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- cold water - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce
- grated orange rind - 1 Tbsp
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- can crushed pineapple with juice - 1 oz
- wine vinegar - 1/3 c
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- celery salt - 1 tsp
- ground chuck
- crushed garlic clove - 1 item
- dashes Tabasco sauce - 4 item
How to make oriental meatballs:
Sauce:1 c. brown sugar1/4 c. soy sauce1/4 c. minced onion1/3 c. wine vinegar3 Tbsp. cornstarch3/4 c. cold water1 tsp. celery salt1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice4 dashes Tabasco sauce1 Tbsp. grated orange rind1 tsp. ginger2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Mix together ground chuck, salt, milk, egg, 1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce, ginger, garlic and bread crumbs. Form into 1-inch balls. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until done and light brown.Sauce: Mix ingredients together and cook until thickened. Put meatballs in sauce and heat through. Make night before. Can be frozen.
NOTE: Triple the recipe and it will make approximately 120 meatballs. Just double the sauce recipe.
