Ingredients/Components

  • vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
  • light corn syrup - 1/3 c
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • ground ginger - 1/4 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • soy sauce - 1/4 c
  • dry sherry - 1/3 c
  • chicken wings - 2 lb
  • lemon, cut into wedges - 1 item

How to make oriental chicken wings:

Remove wing tips and reserve for the soup pot. Cut wings apart at joint. Brown wings on both sides in oil. Remove wings with a slotted spoon. Pour off excess oil. Stir in garlic, soy sauce, sherry, lemon juice, corn syrup and ginger. Add wings; bring to boiling. Lower heat. Cover and simmer, turning wings once, for 20 minutes or until chicken is tender. Makes 4 servings.
