Oriental chicken wings
Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- light corn syrup - 1/3 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- ground ginger - 1/4 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- dry sherry - 1/3 c
- chicken wings - 2 lb
- lemon, cut into wedges - 1 item
How to make oriental chicken wings:
Remove wing tips and reserve for the soup pot. Cut wings apart at joint. Brown wings on both sides in oil. Remove wings with a slotted spoon. Pour off excess oil. Stir in garlic, soy sauce, sherry, lemon juice, corn syrup and ginger. Add wings; bring to boiling. Lower heat. Cover and simmer, turning wings once, for 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.
