Orange sugar cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking soda - 3 tsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- orange rind - 2 tsp
How to make orange sugar cookies:
Cream sugar and shortening. Beat eggs and rind into mixture. Sift and add 1/2 dry ingredients to creamed mixture; mix well. Add vanilla, milk and remaining dry ingredients. Chill well. Roll 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
