- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla
- flour - 3 c
- grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
- fresh orange juice
- 1/2 sticks margarine - 3 item
How to make orange pound cake:
Sauce:1/2 c. fresh orange juice1 Tbsp. grated orange peel1 c. sugar Cream sugar and margarine, adding eggs, one at a time; gradually add flour. Add vanilla. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a greased loaf or Bundt pan.While cake is baking, combine sauce ingredients in small bowl or measuring cup. Poke small holes in top of cake with a fork or toothpick; pour sauce over cake while still warm so cake absorbs sauce.
