Orange pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- Sugar - 1/2 c
- Paprika - 1/2 tsp
- Salt
- Pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- Water - 3/4 c
- Ground Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- Whole Cloves - 12 item
- Cooking Oil - 1 Tbsp
- Pork Loin Chops 1/2 inch Thick - 6 item
- Orange Medium - 1 item
- Fresh Orange Juice - 1 c
How to make orange pork chops:
1. In large skillet, brown chops in oil on both sides. Add water, paprika, pepper, and 1 tsp. salt. Bring to boil. 2. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer about 35 minutes turning once. Meanwhile grate peel from the stem end of orange. Then cut 6 slices from the other end. Set aside 3. In saucepan over medium-high heat combine 1 Tbsp. peel, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, cloves, and remaining salt 4. Stir in juice. Cook and stir until thickened. Add orange slices, cover and remove from heat.To serve: Top chops with sauce and orange slices.
