Orange pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch
- water - 2 4
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- grated orange rind - 2 tsp
- whole cloves - 10 item
- salt, pepper and paprika - 1 item
- hot rice - 1 item
- center-cut pork chops 1-inch thick - 4 item
How to make orange pork chops:
Season chops with salt, pepper and paprika. Brown well in their own fat in a skillet. Turn down heat; add water and simmer 45 minutes, turning once (adding more water if needed).Orange Sauce: In saucepan, cook sugar, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, cloves, rind and orange juice, stirring until thick and clear. Serve over chops and hot rice.
You may want to double this to serve over both rice and chops.
