Orange nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- sifted all-purpose flour
- grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
- salad oil - 2 Tbsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
How to make orange nut bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Stir in nuts and orange peel. Mix egg, orange juice and salad oil in a small bowl. Add liquid mixture to dry mix and blend well. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
