  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • confectioners sugar
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • orange juice - 1/2 c
  • grated orange rind - 2 Tbsp
  • orange juice optional
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400° until delicately browned on edges

How to make orange drop cookies:

Mix together and drop rounded teaspoonful of dough about 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400° until delicately browned on edges. Frost with icing below.Orange Butter Icing:2 1/2 Tbsp. soft butter1 1/2 Tbsp. orange juice (optional)1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar2 tsp. grated orange rind Mix and spread on cookies.
