Orange chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• pkg - 1 oz
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 1 c
• egg - 1 item
• grated orange rind - 1 tsp
• butter or other shortening - 1/2 c

How to make orange chocolate chip cookies:

Mix together butter, cream cheese, sugar, egg, grated orange rind and vanilla. Sift flour and salt together. Add to batter, mixing thoroughly. Next, add chocolate chips and stir in, mixing well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheet, 1-inch apart. Bake at 350° for about 15 minutes.
