Orange biscuits



  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • grated orange peel - 2 tsp
  • skim milk - 3/4 c
  • fresh orange juice - 1/2 c
  • butter-flavored Crisco - 3 4
  • Cut in the Crisco

How to make orange biscuits:

Combine first four ingredients. Cut in the Crisco. Stir in the milk. Turn out on floured surface. Flatten dough and cut out the biscuits. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350° to 375° for about 15 minutes.Glaze:1/2 c. powdered sugar1/4 c. margarine1/2 c. fresh orange juice1 tsp. grated orange peel Melt margarine, stir in powdered sugar and cook 2 minutes. Add orange juice and grated rind. Cover hot biscuits and serve.
