Ingredients/Components
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- grated Swiss cheese - 4 Tbsp
- beef broth
- slices French bread, toasted - 2 item
- large red onion, sliced - 1 item
How to make onion soup:
In saucepan cook 1 large sliced onion in butter 5 minutes, stirring often. Add beef broth and a dash of Worcestershire sauce and cook 5 minutes. Divide soup between two ovenproof bowls. Top each with toasted French bread and half the Swiss cheese. Bake in 325° oven for 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serves 2.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low cholesterol, Soups & stews.
