Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1/8 tsp
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped onion - 2 c
- white pepper - 1/8 tsp
- butter or bacon drippings - 2 Tbsp
- rice water or vegetable stock - 4 c
How to make onion soup:
Cook onions and butter or drippings in covered saucepan, shaking pan often. When onions are tender, add rice water or stock. Boil 5 minutes. Add seasonings and chopped parsley.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low cholesterol, Soups & stews.
