Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/3 c
- sour cream - 8 oz
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- dill weed - 1/2 tsp
- large onions, thinly sliced - 2 item
- Jiffy corn muffin mix - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese, divided in half - 8 oz
- creamed corn undrained - 15 oz
- hot sauce to taste 4 to 15 squirts
How to make onion shortcake:
Saute onion in margarine and cool. Add sour cream, salt, dill weed and half of cheese. Mix muffin mix with corn, egg and milk. Pour in 13 x 9-inch cake pan, then onion mixture, then top with last half of shredded cheese. Bake at 425° for 30 to 40 minuRecipe categories: < 60 mins, Side dish, Oven.
