Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking powder
- salad oil - 1 Tbsp
- egg yolk - 1 item
- egg white - 1 item
- large onions, peeled, sliced and separated - 2 item
How to make onion rings:
Batter:1 c. flour1 tsp. salt1 1/2 tsp. baking powder1 egg yolk1 egg white3/4 c. milk1 Tbsp. salad oil Cover onions with cold water and let stand for 20 minutes. Mix all batter ingredients together but egg white. Beat egg white until soft peaks form. Fold into batter. Heat oil to 375°. Drain onion ring pieces. Spread on paper towel to dry.
