Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- eggs, well beaten - 3 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Swiss cheese - 1/4 lb
- prepared pie crust - 1 item
- sliced onions - 1 lb
- flour or cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- to 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled - 4 item
How to make onion pie:
Melt butter in pan over low heat. Add sliced onions and cook until soft (not brown). Sprinkle flour over onions and then remove from heat. Add eggs, bacon and milk to pan. Put in pie crust and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake 45 minutes in 400° oven. Serve hot.Recipe categories: Main dish, Savory pies, Onions.
