Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- oleo - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- shredded Swiss cheese - 1 c
- chopped green peppers - 1/4 c
- pimentos - 2 tsp
- large white onions - 3 item
- Club crackers, crushed not powder - 2 c
How to make onion casserole:
Saut?© peppers, onions and butter until soft. Mix in pimento. Place 1/2 in greased 9 x 9-inch pan or similar round dish. Cover with 1/2 cup Swiss cheese and 1/2 cup crushed crackers. Put in other half of onions and peppers. Cover with 1/2 cup Swiss.In separate dish, mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour this over the pan mixture. Cover with 1 1/2 cups crushed crackers. Bake uncovered 25 minutes at 325°.
