Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • lean ground beef - 2 lb
  • large white potatoes - 6 item
  • cans condensed mushroom soup - 2 item
  • large Vidalia onions, sliced - 6 item
  • salt on meat - 1 tsp

How to make onion and potato casserole:

Season meat and brown in oil. Remove any excess fat. Peel and slice potatoes thinly. Make alternate layers of potatoes, onions and meat. Pour mushroom soup on top and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cover casserole with foil and remove the foil after 30 minutes. Continue baking for 15 minutes or until potatoes are done.

Note: Vidalia onions are milder and sweeter.
