Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • molasses - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • can pork and beans - 1 item
  • mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1/2 lb
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • barbecue sauce - 1/4 c
  • can kidney beans - 1 item
  • bacon, chopped - 1/2 lb
  • can pinto beans - 1 item
  • can lima beans - 1 item

How to make old settlers baked beans:

Brown ground beef, bacon and onion. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour. Serves approximately 15 to 20.

I prepare this the day before and put in a crock-pot to take to a luncheon or dinner.
