Old fashioned tea cakes
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- ice water - 2 Tbsp
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- cups sugar - 3 item
- cups self rising flour - 5 item
- cup shortening - 1 item
How to make old fashioned tea cakes:
Cream sugar, shortening, salt and nutmeg together. Add eggs and ice water and then flour. Roll on a floured board and cut into shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes or until brown around edges.
