  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • flour, sifted - 2 c
  • oats - 3 c

How to make old fashion oatmeal cookies:

60 Servings:2 c. shortening2 c. brown sugar2 c. sugar4 eggs2 tsp. vanilla6 c. oats4 c. flour, sifted2 tsp. soda2 tsp. baking powder Preheat oven to 350°. Beat together shortening and sugars with vanilla until creamy. Add eggs. Beat until light and creamy. Add dry ingredients. Combine until blended. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.

Note: May add raisins: 1 cup (2 cups).
