Okra creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 3 Tbsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- whole okra, thawed - 1 pkg
- chopped tomato or 1 can stewed tomatoes - 1 c
How to make okra creole:
Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Okra can be cut up if you prefer and onion can be sliced into half rings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Main dish.
