Oatmeal scotchies
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- firmly packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- salt optional - 1/2 tsp
- 2 sticks butter, softened - 1 c
- Quaker oats quick or old fashioned, uncooked - 3 c
How to make oatmeal scotchies:
Heat oven to 375°. Beat margarine, sugars, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add combined flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon, mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by level measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes for a chewy cookie, 9 to 10 minutes for crisp cookie. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
