  • sugar
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • large egg - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour
  • butter or margarine, softened - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • old-fashioned rolled oats
  • grated orange or lemon zest - 1 Tbsp

How to make oatmeal raisin cookies:

Preheat oven to 400° and grease 2 cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl using an electric beater set on medium speed, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg.
