  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour, sifted
  • oatmeal - 2 c
  • eggs, well beaten - 3 item
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • shortening oleo - 1 c
  • raisins, soak in eggs - 1 c

How to make oatmeal raisin cookies:

Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla. Let stand 1 hour. Cream sugars and oleo. Sift dry ingredients together. Blend in eggs, raisins, nuts and oatmeal. Dough will be stiff. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not overbake.
