Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/3 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- honey - 2 Tbsp
- quick-cooking rolled oats - 1 c
How to make oatmeal drop biscuits:
Stir thoroughly the flour, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Combine egg, milk and honey. Add all at once to dry mixture. Stir just until moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.Recipe categories: Breads, Grains, Rolls/biscuits.
