Oatmeal dinner rolls



  • salt
  • flour - 4 c
  • oleo - 1/4 c
  • oatmeal - 2 c
  • warm water - 1/2 c
  • hot milk
  • honey - 1/3 c
  • yeast - 2 pkg

How to make oatmeal dinner rolls:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Pour hot milk over oleo, honey and salt; let cool until lukewarm. Add 2 cups flour, mix well; add dissolved yeast, oatmeal (uncooked) and stir in 2 more cups of flour. Knead in 1 to 3 cups flour until dough is soft and elastic. Let rise 1 hour. Punch down and let rise again for 15 minutes. Shape into rolls; put in a greased pan and let rise again. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
