Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- oil - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- rolled oats - 3 c
How to make oatmeal crisps:
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in rolled oats and nuts. Mix. Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheets (1 tablespoon of dough). Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Makes 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Egg Free.
