  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • nuts optional - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 3 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • chocolate chips optional - 1 item

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill. Form small balls and bake at 350° on a cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
