  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • nuts - 1 item
  • raisins - 1 c
  • oatmeal - 2 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Boil sugar, water, raisins, shortening, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg for 10 minutes. Let cool. Add eggs, flour, oatmeal, soda, salt, vanilla and nuts. Let stand in refrigerator overnight before baking. Bake 10 minutes at 350° until brown.
