sugar - 1/2 c
vanilla - 1 tsp
salt - 1 tsp
flour - 1 c
brown sugar - 1 c
water - 1/4 c
soda - 1/2 tsp
egg - 1 item
oatmeal - 3 c
lard - 3/4 c

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Mix sugar, lard, egg and water. Sift dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture, then blend in oats. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
