Oatmeal cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- oatmeal - 1 c
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1/2 c
- cornflakes - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cookies:
Cream butter. Add sugars, beating well. Add egg. Add oil and vanilla. Mix flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in oatmeal and remaining ingredients. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten each ball with tines of fork. Bake at 325° for 15 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet and cool.
