Oatmeal coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- flour, sifted
- quick oatmeal - 1 c
- whole eggs - 2 item
- Pet milk - 5 Tbsp
- Topping:1 stick margarine
How to make oatmeal coffee cake:
Topping:1 stick margarine5 Tbsp. Pet milk1 c. sugar1 c. chopped nuts1 c. coconut Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand. Mix all other ingredients, except topping. Add oatmeal and mix well. Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.Topping: Mix margarine, milk and sugar in saucepan; bring to boil and stir well. Let cool. Add nuts and coconut. Spread on cake while cake is still warm. Broil for a few minutes until topping is browned.
