Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped nuts - 3/4 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- margarine or butter, softened
- firmly packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- salt optional - 1 tsp
- Quaker oats Quick or old fashioned, uncooked - 3 c
How to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies:
Heat oven to 375°. Beat together margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to margarine mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces and nuts.Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Store in tightly covered container. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
