Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- margarine - 3/4 c
- brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
- oatmeal - 2 c
- shredded carrots - 1 c
- white sugar - 1/4 c
- ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
- vegetable cooking spray - 1 item
How to make oatmeal carrot cookies:
In large bowl, cream together margarine, brown sugar and white sugar; blend in egg. Add carrots and vanilla; mix well. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, soda, cinnamon and cloves). Add flour mixture, alternating with oatmeal to cream mixture. Mix until well blended. Stir in raisins. Drop dough by teaspoon on cookie sheet coated with vegetable spray. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
