Oatmeal caramelitas



  • chopped pecans - 3/4 c
  • pkg
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • melted butter - 3/4 c
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • quick cooking rolled oats - 1 c
  • caramel ice cream - 3/4 c
  • small jar topping - 1 item

How to make oatmeal caramelitas:

Filling:1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits3/4 c. chopped pecans3/4 c. caramel ice cream1 small jar topping Blend crust ingredients together in a large bowl with mixer to form crumbs. Press half of the crumbs into the bottom of an 11 x 7-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate bits and pecans. Blend caramel topping and flour thoroughly and spread over chocolate and pecans. Sprinkle with the remaining mixture. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350° or until golden brown. Chill 1 to 2 hours in refrigerator. Cut into bars.
