  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • boiling water
  • egg - 1 item
  • nuts - 1 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • white sugar - 2 c
  • quick oats - 2 c
  • canned milk - 1 c
  • cubes margarine - 2 item
  • Topping:2 cubes margarine

How to make oatmeal cake:

Topping:2 cubes margarine1 c. canned milk1 c. sugar1 egg1 tsp. vanilla Mix boiling water, quick oats and margarine in a saucepan; cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients in another bowl. Add oatmeal mixture and bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

Topping: Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add 2 cups nuts and 2 cups coconut. Spread over cake and broil until brown.
