Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda
- boiling water
- nuts - 1 c
- cream - 1/2 c
- oleo
- quick oats - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
How to make oatmeal cake:
Icing:6 Tbsp. oleo1 c. sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. cream1 c. nuts1 c. coconut Pour boiling water over the first 2 ingredients and let stand for 20 minutes. Add rest of ingredients. Bake at 325° for 35 minutes in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Take from oven.Combine icing ingredients in order. Spread on top of cake. Put under the broiler for 3 to 5 minutes.
