  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • quick oats - 1 c
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • canned milk - 1/2 c
  • Add sugars, eggs, flour, soda, cinnamon, vanilla and salt

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour boiling water over oats; stir in oleo. Add sugars, eggs, flour, soda, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Bake for 30 minutes at 350° in a 9 x 9-inch pan.Icing:1 c. brown sugar4 Tbsp. butter1 c. coconut1/2 tsp. salt1/2 c. canned milk Stir and spread on cake. Return to oven and bake until icing bubbles (8 to 10 minutes).
