Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• milk - 3 4
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1 c
• butter - 1/2 c
• egg yolks - 2 item
• coconut - 1 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• boiling water
• pecans - 1 c
• oats - 1 c
• Cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs

How to make oatmeal cake:

Mix boiling water and oats together; let stand 20 minutes. Cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs. Add in the oat mixture. Mix flour, cinnamon, soda and salt together; gradually add to mixture. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°.Topping:3 Tbsp. butter2/3 c. brown sugar1 c. coconut1 c. pecans3 to 4 Tbsp. milk2 egg yolks Mix all ingredients together; put on hot cake. Put back in oven for about 5 minutes to brown. Remove and serve.
