  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • flour
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • quick oats - 1 c
  • walnuts - 1/2 c
  • Pet milk - 1/4 c
  • Let stand 2 minutes

How to make oatmeal cake:

Pour boiling water over oats. Let stand 2 minutes. Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs, oatmeal, flour and spices. Bake at 350° in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes.Frosting:1 stick margarine1/4 c. Pet milk1 c. brown sugar1 c. coconut1/2 c. walnuts Bring to a boil. Pour over warm cake and brown under broiler.
